Pursuant to the appointment of Special Assistants (SAs) and Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) to Governor Godwin Obaseki in Edo, the state government, during the weekend, announced a 2-day workshop to orientate the political appointees on the responsibilities entrusted to them.

A statement from the Office of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, noted that the 2-day Orientation Programme, slated for the 19th and 20th of June this year, was only for all newly appointed SSAs and SAs and that it was imperative that the political appointees attended, as their attendance was compulsory.
The statement read in part: “The workshop, which will commence by 8am at Imaguero College Hall in Benin City, is to familiarise the newly appointed SAs and SSAs with the nature of their jobs and what is expected from them. As was revealed earlier, their appointments are not for celebration, but a call to service and this workshop is to make them know what we want from them, among which is top quality delivery from the wards and local governments.”
