Shila Hamukale, a United Party for National Development (UPND) cadre, has been jailed for 21 days and fined Twelve Kwacha (K12) by the Monze Magistrate Court.
Hamukale, 24, was apprehended on 8th June, 2017 for indecent exposure. The Monze Magistrate court, yesterday, jailed the outspoken cadre, after she was found guilty of “Idling and disorderliness.” .
Hamukale appeared in a video which went viral on social media pleading for the release of incarcerated UPND president Hakainde Hichilema. In the 41 seconds video, Hamukale is seen bouncing around while bragging that she is a “matako (buttocks) ya Monze” (which loosely means dependable lady around town) while demanding that Hichilema be released.
Donning a camouflage cap and khaki bumshot, Hamukale warns that if Hichilema is not released, she will undress so that President Edgar Lungu sees her plea.
