A mother was devastated to watch her youngest son open fire on her oldest child, according to police in Indiana.
Kokomo police said that they have arrested the 11-year-old boy, who was not identified, for shooting 28-year-old Randall Rogers.
The boy was charged with one count of a delinquent act, which is equal to intentional homicide in an adult.
He was booked into the Kinsey Youth Center, pending his first court appearance.
According to the police investigation, on Wednesday, at approximately 3:15 p.m., police received a call from the victim’s mother.
The mother said that she witnessed her 11-year-old son shooting her 28-year-old son in the head.
She urged officers to come fast because she was afraid Rogers won’t make it.
Rogers died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head.
Police officers who arrived at the home located in the 5200 block of Ojibway Drive, arrested the 11-year-old boy.
Neighbors said that the boy was screaming “mommy I do not want to go to jail.”
Family members denied the allegations that the boy intentionally shot his brother.
They claim that he was a loving child and had a very special bond with his brother.
Police disputed this and said that the young boy intentionally killed his older brother while he was angry.
